This series titled “PORTRAITS” revolves around a sort of “worn and torn” smiley face sticker. I chose the smiley face sticker because it is extremely nostalgic, but it also represents us as humans. The smiley face sticker that I created has clearly been through hardships that have caused it to bend, fold, rip and get dirty…but it’s still here, and still smiling. I believe that’s symbolic of our individual lives. Though we have ALL gone through tough times, we are still here. So let’s stick to it and keep smiling!
